September 3 Evening Recap Kansas City 11, St. Paul 8 – Box Kansas City stays alive in the wild card race as they score four runs over their final two frames to rally from an 8-7 deficit and beat St. Paul, 11-8. The bottom of order led the offensive charge for the T-Bones as LF Kyle Petty, C Zane Chavez and DH Tucker Pennell went a combined 6-for-11 at the plate with a home run (Petty), four RBI and six runs scored. Kansas City SS Niko Vasquez added a third-inning blast while leadoff hitter Cedric Hunter collected a pair of hits in six at-bats with a run scored and a RBI. T-Bones pitcher Rich Mascheri allowed an unearned run in an inning of work to nab his fourth victory of the year. Mascheri gave up three hits and struck out one in the five batters faced. For St. Paul, DH Brady Shoemaker had a 1-for-4 night at the dish with a home run, two runs scored and two RBI.
