YORK, Pa. – The York Revolution broke a 4-4 tie with a pair of home runs and a three-run seventh inning in a 7-4 win over the High Point Rockers Tuesday night at WellSpan Park.

The game was tied at four in the seventh after High Point starter Sam Ryan had left the game, having held the Revs to four runs on six hits with three walks and three strikeouts through six innings. Reliever Jayden Voelker (L, 0-1) allowed a single to Tomo Otosaka and consecutive home runs to Nick Dunn and Brian Rey that pushed the Revs to a 7-4 lead.

The Rockers are now 18-22 in the second half and 47-56 for the season. York continues to lead the North Division at 28-12 and 63-40.

Each team tallied a pair of runs early. York’s Jackson Ross delivered an RBI single and another run scored on a wild pitch by Ryan in the bottom of the first for a 2-0 lead. The Rockers used sacrifice flies from newcomer Colin Davis and shortstop Aidan Brewer in the top of the second to tie the game 2-2.

York used a pair of singles and a sac bunt to put two in scoring position in the bottom of the second. Nick Dunn’s groundout to second brought home the go-ahead run, giving York a 3-2 advantage.

The Revs added a fourth run, unearned, in the third for a 4-2 lead.

The Rockers pulled to with in one at 4-3 in the top of the sixth when Hogan Windish singled home Luke Napleton who had walked and moved to second on a walk to Ivan Melendez.

The Rockers tied the game at 4-4 in the top of the seventh. With two outs, Aidan Brewer doubled off the wall in left field and Ty Hubbard lined a two-strike single to left to drive in Brewer and knot the game.

High Point had runners at second and third in the ninth but were unable to score off York closer Cam Robinson.

Windish and Ryan McCarthy each finished with a pair of hits for the Rockers.

The second game of this six-game series is slated for a 6:30 p.m. first pitch on Wednesday at WellSpan Park. RHP Matt Colucci (4-5, 5.49) will face York lefty Julian Costa (7-2, 5.06).
