MILKMEN LOSE EARLY LEAD LATE, FACE GAME THREE SATURDAY.

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Milwaukee Milkmen fell late to the Chicago Dogs in the second game of their best of three series in the first round of the American Association playoffs.

The Milkmen struck quickly in the game scoring five runs in the first inning. Logan Trowbridge singled to score Bryan Torres, Miguel Gomez singled to score Trowbridge and Hector Sanchez hit a home run that scored Will Kengor and Gomez.

Starting pitcher Ryan Zimmerman then gave up four runs in the bottom of the second inning and the Dogs got right back into the game. Keon Barnum then hit another home run in his former team’s stadium and brought the lead back up to two for the Milkmen.

Zimmerman was then replaced by Myles Smith in the third inning and Smith then gave up a two run double that tied the game at six.

Milwaukee did not score for the rest of the night and Chicago hit a two run home run off of Peyton Gray in the seventh inning. With the Milkmen unable to respond, the Dogs closed the game in the top of the ninth inning by a score of 8-6.


Milwaukee and Chicago will now play a final game three to decide the series tomorrow night.
