WASHINGTON, PA (July 20, 2016) – The Washington Wild Things (28-26) took on the River City Rascals (26-28) in a double headerWednesday at CONSOL Energy Park. Washington split the double header, winning game one by a final score of 2-0 and falling in game two by a final score of 6-0. In game one Matt Fraudin (4-4) secured the win on the mound for Washington. Fraudin surrendered just three hits and struck out seven in all seven innings pitched. Jake Negrete (0-2) is charged with the loss, surrendering two earned runs and striking out five in six innings pitched. Washington took the early lead courtesy of Grant Fink, launching his 5th home run of the year to left field, giving the Wild Things a 1-0 lead. A single from Kyle Pollock set up the next run for Washington as Austin Wobrock delivered an RBI double, extending the lead to 2-0. Wild Things center fielder Chris Grayson led team with stolen bases, stealing base in the 1st and 6th innings. Joe Pavlovich (1-1) picked up the win in game two for the Rascals.
