Florence, Ky. – This Fourth of July weekend, UC Health stadium is the place to be. On July third, the City of Florence will host its celebration at the ballpark. Then fans can celebrate Independence Day with baseball, fireworks, and a special appearance on July Fourth as the Florence Freedom take on the Southern Illinois Miners at 7:05 p.m. July Third: City of Florence Independence Day Celebration This Sunday, the City of Florence celebration will begin at 4:00 p.m. and feature many attractions. Cincinnati Circus performers will accompany the Kids Zone, while Murray Bros. shows, rides, and games take place. There will also be an abundance of food booths and trucks. At 6:00 p.m., the Florence Police Honor Guard’s Patriotic Salute will take place with lots of music soon to follow. The Florence Community Band will perform a patriotic tribute before the Leroy Ellington Band takes center stage at 7:00 p.m. And it wouldn’t be a trip to UC Health Stadium without some action on the field.
