TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. – The ThunderBolts scored five runs on seven hits in the fourth inning to come from behind, defeating the Traverse City Beach Bums 5-4 in game one of a three-game series at Wuerfel Park Friday night. Steven Patterson hit a solo home run for Traverse City (18-24) in the first inning to give the Beach Bums a quick 1-0 lead. They added to it in the third inning. Patterson and Will Kengor walked and were both on base with two outs when Kendall Patrick picked up an RBI single. John Montgomery followed with a base hit to make the score 3-0. The ThunderBolts (23-20) cam back with their big fourth inning. Three consecutive singles for Kyle Wood, Larry Balkwill and Riley Krane got things started as Krane picked up his fourth RBI in five games. Later, with two outs in the inning, Ransom LaLonde delivered with an RBI base hit. Blair Beck followed with a two-run double that gave the Bolts their first lead at 4-3.
