SAUGET, Ill. – Just one series removed from the All-Star break and ThunderBolt Jake Fisher and Otter John Schultz have been named Week 10 Frontier League Pitcher and Player of the Week as chosen by Pointstreak, the official statistical provider of the Frontier League and the Independent Professional Baseball Federation. Jake Fisher of the Windy City ThunderBolts earns his honor with a dominant 7-1 Bolts win over the Washington Wild Things last Friday. Fisher who is in his fourth season with the ThunderBolts, went eight total innings allowing just four hits, five strikeouts and one run (unearned) against the hot hitting Wild Things. The Norman, Oklahoma native is the third ThunderBolt (second pitcher) to be named Pitcher or Player of the Week this season. Jake has been a proven leader for the Bolts after several fellow starters have been purchased by affiliated ball clubs this season. With 11 starts on the season, Fisher is 5-4 and has an ERA of 3.46 (14th). He hangs his hat on fifty-seven strikeouts (9th). Fisher was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers, in the 22nd round in 2013 before joining the ThunderBolts. Evansville Outfielder John Schultz also earns his first Player of the Week…
