Joliet, IL — The Joliet Slammers presented by ATI Physical Therapy beat the Lake Erie Crushers 4-2 Friday night. Dane Hutcheon hit a solo home run in the top of the 3rd putting Lake Erie on the board at 1-0. LJ Kalawaia started the scoring for Joliet with an RBI single that brought home London Lindley in the bottom of the 3rd to make it 1-1.  Justin Garcia tacked on a solo home run in the bottom of the 4th to stretch the Slammers lead to 2-1. Trenton Hill gave the Slammers some breathing room hitting a two-run double in the bottom of the 5th to make it 4-1 Joliet. Tonight’s Merchants and Manufacturers Player of the Game is Liam O’Sullivan who threw his third straight complete game giving up just two runs while striking out seven and getting the win. The Slammers continue their series vs. Lake Erie tomorrow night at 6:05.
