A couple of pitcher’s duels and a couple of strong offensive showings led the way in Tuesday night’s Frontier League action. Catch up on anything you may have missed right here with a recap of every game: The Southern Illinois Miners took both games of a doubleheader with the Gateway Grizzlies, holding the Grizzlies to just one run between the two games. Game one was a continuation of Monday’s game that was suspended due to weather. The Miners took game one 8-0. They scored first in the fifth on a bases-loaded walk to Ryan Stacy that made it 1-0. Then, Carson Bartels hit his first professional home run—a grand slam that extended the lead to 5-0.
