The 2019 Frontier League season is off and running as organizations continue to establish an identity through the opening month of May. Eight of 10 teams own a record of .500 or better, as the Schaumburg Boomers and River City Rascals lead the East and West Divisions, respectively. The red-hot Boomers (10-5) enter Monday having won seven of their previous eight games and boast an 8-2 record over their last 10. Schaumburg is also benefitting from the best pitching staff in the league thanks to its collective 2.22 team ERA. Manager Jamie Bennett has sent out seven different starters through the first 15 games of the season. However, standouts among the rotation include Connor Reed, Aaron Rozek, Jack Landwehr and Gunnar Kines. The four aforementioned have a combined 1.76 ERA in 57.1 innings pitched.
