SAUGET, Ill. – Freedom Pitcher Matt Pobereyko and First-Base Boomer Seth Spivey have been named Week 6 Frontier League Pitcher and Player of the Week as chosen by Pointstreak, the official statistical provider of the Frontier League and the Independent Professional Baseball Federation. Matt Pobereyko is in his 2nd season with the Florence Freedom. Pobereyko locked in this last week as the Freedom called him in for 4 appearances, two against Windy City and two against Joliet. In those 4 appearances, he proved to be a lock down closer as he racked up 3 saves. He went a total of 4 1/3 innings. His dominant performances were proven with 11 strikeouts over the week. Pobereyko also had no earned runs. On the season, Pobereyko has a 1-1 record with an impressive 1.10 ERA with 16 appearances.
