FLORENCE Y’ALLS START UP PEN-PAL PROGRAM FOR AREA NURSING CENTERS

FLORENCE, KY – The Florence Y’alls Professional Baseball Club, presented by Towne Properties, are doing all they can to raise the community’s spirit during the COVID-19 pandemic, including having their coaching staff and players pen-pal letters to area senior nursing centers. Beginning Tuesday, March 24, an emailed letter written by one of the Y’alls players or coaches will go out to over 20 area senior nursing centers in what the Y’alls are calling ‘Y’alls Pen-Pals. One letter will be sent per day for the current 40 man roster plus coaching staff. “We know one of the hardest hit demographics are those living in senior nursing homes,” Y’alls Vice President and General Manager Josh Anderson said. “I have a grandmother and grandfather who are quarantined to their rooms in fear of COVID-19 spreading, and isolation and a general loneliness is a real concern I know they have.
