CZECH’S NINTH-INNING HOMER LIFTS WASHINGTON TO GAME TWO VICTORY

A late ninth-inning two-run homer by Andrew Czech led the Washington Wild Things to a 6-5 victory over the Schaumburg Boomers in game two of the Frontier League Championship Series. Washington came out swinging with three runs in the top of the first inning. Scotty Dubrule opened the scoring with a solo home run while Hector Roa and Trevor Casanova added RBI singles. In the bottom of the inning, Schaumburg answered right back. With two on base, Braxton Davidson launched a three-run home run to tie the game at 3-3. They took the lead in the second when Clint Hardy was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
