TISSENBAUM'S WALK-OFF BLAST PUSHES QUEBEC INTO TIE FOR FIRST PLACE

The Quebec Capitales walked off on the Rockland Boulders 6-4 behind a two-run home run from C Maxx Tissenbaum (pictured) in the bottom of the ninth inning. The Capitales and Boulders are now tied for first place in the standings with 43-24 matching records. The Capitales took the early lead with a pair of runs in the third inning – one from DH Adam Ehrlich and another from 3B Lachlan Fontaine. Quebec added a third run in the fourth inning as RF Marcus Knecht singled with the bases loaded to plate Tissenbaum. But Rockland tied things in the fifth after 2B Dylan Tice produced a two-RBI double and then scored on a wild pitch. Quebec moved back in front in the bottom of the eighth when Knecht scored on a single from CF Phillipe Craig-St. Louis but the Boulders tied things up once more in the top of the ninth with an RBI single from SS Mike Fransoso, who was 3-for-5 on the day.Elsewhere, Sussex County topped Trois-Rivieres 5-2.
