JULY 12 LEAGUE RECAP Photo Courtesy: Sara Schaarschmidt/Sussex County Miners Sussex County 4, New Jersey 3 – Box Score Sussex County 2B Mikey Reynolds (pictured) singled home RF Breland Almadova with the game winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Miners won in a walk-off, 4-3 over New Jersey. This contest was a back and forth affair as each team traded the lead throughout the night. The Jackals jumped out on top 1-0 in the first as LF Connor Hofmann scored on an RBI single from 1B Andy Mocahbee. Sussex County tied the game up at 1-1 in the second on a single from C Luis Alen but that quickly changed as New Jersey regained the advantage in the third as Hofmann came home on a wild pitch. After the Miners plated a run in the third to tie the contest back up at 2-2, Sussex County took the lead at 3-2 in the fifth on an RBI double from 3B Martin Figueroa.
