The Champions narrowly defeated the Capitales on Sunday to take the weekend series by two games to one. A two-run single by 3B Gustavo Pierre (pictured) put the Champions up 2-1 in the fourth and they would not trail again in the game. RHP Austin Chrismon pitched a complete game in the victory, allowing just two runs on four hits in the outing.Elsewhere, the Aigles defeated the Miners 8-4 to split their weekend series at two games apiece.
