Former Quebec Capitales catcher Josué Peley will achieve his dream of reaching the major leagues…and will do during the 2016 season as the translator for the Toronto Blue Jays.
Originally from Venezuela, Peley grew up in the Montreal area, juggling Spanish, French and English throughout his youth. His language skills were invaluable for the Capitales during the last couple of seasons, as he helped to bridge the gap between the club’s Cuban players, their teammates, and the media.
