FOUR QUEBEC PITCHERS COMBINE TO SHUTOUT NEW JERSEY

MAY 19TH LEAGUE RECAP Quebec 2, New Jersey 0 – Box Starting pitcher Ryan Searle (pictured) and three relievers combined to shutout New Jersey in Quebec’s 2-0 victory Saturday night. Searle went the first six innings of the contest in which he allowed a walk and six hits to go along with six strikeouts. The bullpen trio of Will Dennis, Trevor Bayless and Sean Donatello tossed an inning each giving up a total of four hits with a walk and a strikeout. Searle notched his first win while Donatello nabbed his second save. Offensively for the Capitales, SS Yordan Manduley had a pair of hits in four at-bats with 3B Josh Vitters and DH Brad Antchak each driving in a run. For the Jackals in the losing effort, leadoff hitter Connor Hofmann and CF David Harris each collected two hits. Sussex County at Rockland (DH) – Postponed/Rain The doubleheader scheduled between Sussex County and Rockland has been postponed due to rain.
