JULY 31 LEAGUE RECAP Photo Courtesy: Quebec Capitales   Quebec 8, Rockland 1 – Box Score Quebec scored four runs in the third inning to take a 5-1 lead and would go on from there to defeat Rockland by the score of 8-1. The Capitales collected 11 hits as team with seven batters in the lineup collecting at least one. Quebec 1B Zach Wilson went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs while C Adam Ehrlich (pictured) had three hits in four at-bats and two RBIs. Leadoff hitter Nick Van Stratten also chipped in his first home run of the season for the Capitales. Quebec starter Brett Lee allowed one unearned run over six innings of work to notch his first win of the year. Lee walked five and struck out three in 98 pitches. For Rockland in the losing effort, C Kevin Krause and CF Jared McDonald each had 2-for-3 nights at the plate.   Ottawa 3, New Jersey 2 – Box Score The Ottawa Champions notched their third straight victory as they edged past New Jersey by a 3-2 score.
