Wichita 5, Lincoln 4 – Box Designated hitter Brennen Salgado belted a two-run home run in the fifth inning to give Wichita the lead for good as they went on to a 5-4 victory over the Lincoln Saltdogs. Salgado had three hits on the night along with two runs scored and three RBI. Wingnuts CF Harrison Kain chipped in with two hits and three runs while 3B Zack Cox had a 3-for-5 night with a RBI. Wichita starter Tim Brown improved to 6-2 on the season with the win. Brown allowed three earned runs on nine hits with a strikeout in six innings pitched. Laredo 4, Joplin 3 – Box Laredo C Zane Chavez broke a 3-3 tie with a RBI single in the sixth inning as the Lemurs went on to defeat the Joplin Blasters by a 4-3 final. Chavez had a pair of hits on the night along with a run scored while CF/RF Denis Phipps went 1-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBI.
