DURHAM, N.C.- The American Association has announced its 2017 Postseason All-Star Team. The team was voted upon by the league’s field managers and media representatives. The North Division champion Winnipeg Goldeyes lead the team with four selections, followed closely by the South Division champion Wichita Wingnuts, who feature three players. The complete team is below (Stats after games played September 1, 2017): Catcher: Martin Medina, Wichita Tied for seventh in the American Association in batting with a .318 average Has accumulated 18 doubles, six home runs, and 47 RBI in 83 games American Association Midseason All-Star Second season with Wichita First Base: Matt Chavez, Wichita American Association RBI leader with 84 Tied for second in the American Association in batting with a .330 average Also has 16 doubles, a triple, and 17 home runs in 84 games American Association Pointstreak Player of the Week for July 9 American Association Midseason All-Star Second season with Wichita Second Base: Cesar Valera, Lincoln Fifth in the American Association in batting with a .327 average Has collected 19 doubles, six triples, four home runs and 52 RBI Second season with Lincoln Third Base: Wes Darvill, Winnipeg Owns a .312 average with 19 doubles, two…
