A few minutes ago the Lancaster Barnstormers defeated the Gastonia Honey Hunters in the deciding Game 5 for the 2023 Atlantic League Championship. The final score was 7 to 1, and the Barnstormers are back-to-back Atlantic League champions.
This was the final game for all independent professional baseball leagues for the 2023 regular season & post-season.
This is the fourth championship in team history, and the Barnstormers have been added to the list of historical independent professional baseball league champions going back to 1993.
