When most people think about Minor League Baseball games, they usually think about the wild and funny promotions! There are different types of promotions across independent baseball. Here are some of the categories:
- Day Of The Week promotions (Thirsty Thursday, Fireworks Friday)
- Food-related promotions ($1 Hot Dog Night)
- On-field promotions (Dizzy Bat Race, Dot Race)
- Special Appearances (The Famous Chicken, post-game concerts)
- Giveaways (Free T-shirt Night, Free Baseball Card Night)
- Free ticket nights when a sponsor buys out the stadium and gives away tickets for the evening
- Post-game promotions (Kids get to run the bases after games)
