JONES’ DOUBLE IN THE 11TH HELPS RAILCATS BEAT MILKMEN

Gary SouthShore 3, Milwaukee 2 (11 Innings) – Box Score Designated hitter Raymond Jones doubled home RF Colin Willis with the go-ahead run in the top of the 11th inning as Gary SouthShore defeated Milwaukee, 3-2. After a scoreless inning of action, the RailCats grabbed a 1-0 lead in the second as Jones singled home SS Andy DeJesus from third base. Gary SouthShore would increase their advantage to 2-0 in the fifth when CF Evan Marzilli came around to score on a base hit by Willis. The Milkmen would cut the deficit to 2-1 in the sixth when 1B Glen McClain launched his first home run of the season. The contest stayed the same until the eighth when Milwaukee tied the score up at 2-2 on a DH Dan Ward RBI single. The game headed into extra innings where the RailCats won it on the Jones hit in the 11th.…
