This collaboration will launch an innovative, analytics-driven assessment program for players at D-BAT locations across the United States. The "PBL Prospects Pipeline" utilizes D-BAT's premier training facilities and Rapsodo's cutting-edge data and analytics technologies, in addition to the PBL’s annual on-site tryout camps. This program aims to revolutionize the player scouting process in professional baseball. After registering at a local D-BAT, potential players will participate in a pitching or hitting tryout. Their data and video will be sent directly to the General Managers and Managers of the 12 PBL Clubs, providing a unique opportunity to be selected for a professional roster.

At the 2026 Oakland Ballers Open Tryouts at Raimondi Park, the pitcher from Palo Alto competed against dozens of hopeful players chasing a professional baseball opportunity. By the end of the day, Clarke earned a contract offer and an invitation to Oakland Ballers Spring Training. This is not a promotional stunt. The Ballers Open Tryouts have already changed lives. In 2025, Hayward native James Colyer showed up to Open Tryouts, made the team, helped the Ballers win the Pioneer League Championship, and later signed with the Washington Nationals. In 2024, Kelsie Whitmore earned a roster spot at Ballers Open Tryouts, became the first woman ever to start a Pioneer League game, and later became the #1 overall pick in the Women’s Pro Baseball League. Now, David Clarke is the next player getting his shot. Every year, the Oakland Ballers Open Tryouts give players a real chance to earn a spot on the roster of the reigning Pioneer Baseball League champions. Sometimes dreams come true at Raimondi Park.
