UTICA, Mich. – The Eastside Diamond Hoppers are champions. In front of an energetic crowd at Jimmy John’s Field on Saturday night, the Hoppers stormed past the Westside Woolly Mammoths with a 16-5 victory to secure the 2025 USPBL Championship.
The Hoppers’ offense erupted for 18 hits, scoring early and often before delivering a decisive seven-run rally in the eighth inning. Myles Beale shined brightest on the championship stage, going 3-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, four runs scored, and two walks. Sam Schner added four hits and two RBI, while Marcus Judd delivered a clutch triple and drove in three runs. Contributions came from up and down the lineup, as eight different Hoppers recorded hits.
On the mound, Dylan McCall set the tone with five solid innings, striking out five while earning the win. The bullpen trio of Angelo Agro, Mike Sokol, and Jaylen Smith closed the door, allowing just two runs across the final four innings to preserve the championship-clinching win.
The Mammoths fought hard, highlighted by Tommy Stevenson’s home run and three RBI, and a triple from Anthony Sharkas, but the Hoppers’ relentless attack proved too much to overcome.
The victory capped off a memorable season for the Hoppers, defined by resilience, teamwork, and explosive offense. With Saturday’s win, the Hoppers etched their name into USPBL history as the 2025 league champions.
