Beavers Power Past Mammoths with Explosive Offense, 10–4

UTICA, Mich – The Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers (5-3) delivered a dominant offensive performance Thursday night, defeating the Westside Woolly Mammoths (2-6), 10–4, at Jimmy John’s Field. Led by multi-home run heroics from Pablo Ruiz and a three-RBI night from Tyler Shinn, the Beavers racked up 10 hits en route to their fifth win of the season.

Ruiz opened the scoring with a single in the first and later added another home run—solo shots in the third and fourth innings—finishing 3-for-5 with 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Shinn added a long ball of his own in the fourth and plated two more on a two-run single in the eighth.

The Beavers seized control early, scoring in each of the first four innings, including a three-run fourth that gave them a commanding 7–2 lead. They would tack on runs in the seventh and eighth to seal the win.

Westside’s Hank Dodson provided a bright spot, going 3-for-4 with a double, a homer in the ninth, and two RBIs. Despite 12 hits from the Mammoths’ lineup, including a triple from Sebastian Trinidad and two hits each from four different players, they struggled to bring runners home—leaving 13 stranded on base.

Beavers starter Choyce Diffey (3-1) earned the win, allowing two runs on nine hits over four innings. The bullpen duo of Sidney Ferry and Noah Miller held the Mammoths to just two runs the rest of the way.

Mammoths starter Jacob Almon (0-2) took the loss after surrendering seven runs over four innings.
