Curtis Wilkerson Named New Manager of Fort Worth Cats

Curtis Wilkerson was named the field manager of the Fort Worth Cats, now scheduled to play in the 2012 North American League.  Here are the articles of interest:

This is his second stint as a manager in a DFW-based independent league.  In 2007 he led the Tarrant County Blue Thunder to the first Continental Baseball League championship.  He stayed with the team in 2008 when it played as the McKinney Blue Thunder.

Additionally, longtime independent baseball veteran Steve Maddock was named the pitching coach as well as director of player operations.  He was a part of the Cats in 2010 under Chad Treadway.  Maddock also managed the Edinburg Roadrunners last year after being involved with the failed attempt by the Southwestern States League to operate.
