UTICA, Mich. – The Eastside Diamond Hoppers lost to the Westside Woolly Mammoths 5-0 on Friday at Jimmy Johns Field.
Mammoths got on the board in the third inning after Ryne Guida singled, scoring one run.
Pierce Banks stepped on the hill first for Hoppers. The righty allowed two hits and one run over four innings, striking out five and walking two. Kyle Pijaszek stepped on the bump first for Mammoths. The righty gave up two hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out one and walking none.
Bailey Martin, Sam Schner, Myles Beale, and Wyatt Grant each collected one hit for Hoppers.
Jose Cedeno, Sebastian Trinidad, Mark Kattula, Blake McRae, Derek Wood, Guida, and Hank Dodson each collected one hit for Mammoths. Cedeno, Wood, Guida, and Dodson each drove in one run for Mammoths. Trinidad stole three bases. Mammoths stole five bases in the game.
