Pierce started his professional baseball career in 2019 with the Garden City Wind, and he joined the Houston Apollos in 2021. The Pecos League-operated team played in the American Association during the 2021 season, and the Apollos team played all of its games on the road.
Here is the front and back of Pierce’s 2021 NFT baseball card. It is part of the first “minor league baseball” (affiliated or independent professional) team card set to be sold digitally as NFTs on the OpenSea.io platform. Other minor league cards have been made into NFT’s, but at the time of the Apollos NFT drop (card set launch) no traditional “team set” yet has been made into a NFT collection.
