GRIZZLIES LIGHT UP THUNDERBOLTS FOR BIG WIN

Crestwood, Ill. – The Gateway Grizzlies exploded for 10 runs on 13 hits as they crushed the Windy City ThunderBolts 10-2 in the middle game of a three-game set at Standard Bank Stadium.  The Grizzlies (30-31) got to Windy City starter Clay Chapman immediately in the first inning, as Cody Livesay walked to start the game and Craig Massoni later drove him in with an RBI single. Chapman (6-4), who came into the game with a sub-3.00 ERA, would only last 2.2 innings as Gateway’s offense continued to pile it on.  After Logan Davis singled home another run to make it 2-0 in the second, the Grizzlies scored four more times in the third. With the bases loaded, Blake Brown scorched a fly ball off the centerfield fence to plate all three runs as he cruised into second base with a double. Ben Waldrip made it 6-0 with a rip into right field for an RBI single as Brown scored.  RHP Will Landsheft started the game for Gateway and threw two scoreless frames to begin things. In the third, Landsheft (4-5) allowed a pair of runs as Windy City (28-31) cut the deficit to 6-2. The teams would wait out…
