Quebec starting pitcher Murilo Gouvea (pictured) and two relievers combined on a seven-hit shutout as the Capitales defeated the Rockland Boulders, 3-0. Gouvea tossed the first seven innings as he allowed a pair of walks and four hits while striking out three in a 95-pitch effort. The bullpen duo of Brett Lee and Nolan Becker each worked a scoreless inning of relief giving up a combined three hits and fanning three batters. Gouvea earned his first victory while Becker notched his 11th save.Elsewhere, New Jersey defeated Trois-Rivieres, 9-3.
