Sioux Falls 3, Chicago 1- Box Score The Sioux Falls Canaries scored three in the bottom of the fifth to defeat the Chicago Dogs 3-1 on Wednesday. Canaries’ starter Cesilio Pimentel made his one mistake in the top of the second, giving up a lead-off triple to Jonathan Moroney, who scored in the next at bat on a sacrifice fly by Matt Dean. In the win, Pimentel struck out two and walked on while scattering seven hits in 6.1 innings of work. Mike Hart led off the bottom of the fifth for Sioux Falls with a double and advanced to third on a single by Brandon Jacobs in the next at bat. Then, Patrick Fiala doubled to score both Hart and Jacobs. Later in the inning, Fiala would score himself on a groundout to take a 3-1 lead. James Jones pitched a scoreless top of the ninth to earn the save. Sioux City 9, Kansas City 8- Box Score The Sioux City Explorers held on to defeat the Kansas City T-Bones 9-8 on Wednesday.
