July 23 Evening Recap St. Paul 7, Salina 2 – Box The St. Paul Saints scored five runs in the fourth inning to take a 7-1 lead and would never look back en route to a 7-2 victory over Salina. With the win, St. Paul completes the three-game sweep of the Stockade and heads into the all-star break only one game behind Winnipeg in the North Division standings. The Saints collected eight hits as a team and was led by 2B Mitch Delfino who went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with a run scored and a RBI. St. Paul LF Tim Colwell had a pair of doubles in four at-bats with a run scored and a RBI while PH/RF Ben Buerkle added a single and two runs driven in. Saints starting pitcher Mark Hamburger allowed two earned runs over seven innings pitched to collect his league leading 10th win of the season. Hamburger gave up a walk and nine hits while fanning six batters. Sioux Falls 5, Texas 2 – Box Sioux Falls scored single runs in each of the first three innings to jump ahead 3-1 and would cruise from there to a 5-2 win over Texas. The…
