Update On The Pittsfield Colonials

Here is an article about the Pittsfield Colonials:

What is interesting is that it references the sentiments of the local residents about previous summer collegiate and independent baseball teams in the region such as the Berkshire Black Bears.  Evidently, people in the area have longstanding grudges and/or are not supporting the team at the gate, despite its success on the field.

If you have any knowledge of the situation, including the level of overall entertainment experience for the fans at the games, then please leave a comment on this post – preferably with some form of documentation to back up your claims.  Obviously, a late start and the ghost of last year’s Defenders’ team play a part; but any other information is welcomed.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. When I found the article 2-3 days ago it was still there, but I found an alternate site which has the article:

    Hopefully this one works!

    Thanks again.
