Pecos League Commissioner Takes Chair Onto Field During Fight

This past weekend, Andrew Dunn – the Pecos League’s Commissioner – took a chair onto the field to break up a possible fight between players and coaches which started with a base coach pushing an umpire.  A fan took a video clip which made it onto the Roswell (New Mexico) news:

We talked with Andrew earlier this week and he said that he did not swing the chair as he grabbed it away from a player and forgot to drop it as the fight ensued; and it was done to reduce the likelihood of a fight escalating stemming from something during the previous evening’s game between the Las Cruces Vaqueros and the Roswell Invaders.   Here is more information:
