Northern League And Golden League All Star Game

Here is the report from the local Tucson website about the All-Star Game between the Golden League and the Northern League:

Hopefully everything went well between the two leagues.  We at IndependentBaseball.net like seeing these inter-league events as it benefits the independent baseball industry as a whole.

With so many  squabbles, lawsuits, and personality clashes throughout independent baseball since 1993  – look up the history and you may be amazed – it is terrific to see this game happen.  With the industry’s fragmentation, from the perspective of national sponsors, and lack of defined levels of play like the various leagues in affiliated Minor League Baseball, any efforts by the leagues to be more open is generally a good thing.

This is a first step and hopefully the fans found this unique event to be entertaining enough to spread the word about independent baseball.
