Players from the Na Koa Ikaika Maui and Hawaii (Hilo) Stars teams, from the North American League’s Northern Division, will be playing an exhibition series in Japan this week.  This is the second series between the NAL’s Hawaii teams and the Baseball Challenge League, which is an equivalent independent league in Japan.

During the trip a supposed documentary will be filmed, and owners from both leagues will discuss the idea of creating a “world” league.  Whether this could be done at the independent level is still to be determined; but any tangible developments on this issue will be posted on this site.

There are several good books about the independent professional baseball leagues. You are welcome to see a list of suggestions through this link: Books
