RIVER CITY CELEBRATING 20th SEASON IN 2018

During the 2018 season, the River City Rascals will be celebrating their 20th season at CarShield Field, formerly known as T.R. Hughes Ballpark. In 1999, the Greys moved to from their home in Zanesville, Ohio to O’Fallon, Missouri and were renamed to the River City Rascals. The newly renamed team started their first season in O’Fallon with a bang and led the Frontier League in home runs that inaugural season. Both in 1999 and 2000, the Rascals were named Frontier League Organization of the Year, with over 150,000 fans in 1999. With the help of their fans, they set franchise records for attendance in 2000 and 2002. Since opening in O’Fallon, the Rascals have won the West Division Championship in 2009, 2011, and 2014. They also had Frontier League Championship Appearances in all those years as well as 2015 and 2016 and won the Frontier League Championship in 2010 under the direction of former player and current manager, Steve Brook. Over the past 19 seasons, four players have made it to The Show – Josh Kinney, Justin Christian, Joe Thatcher, and Brandon Cunniff.
