SCHAUMBURG, Ill.  —  The Lake Erie Crushers, presented by Mercy, scored 10 runs on 11 hits on Wednesday night at Schaumburg Baseball Stadium, as they beat the Schaumburg Boomers 10-3, securing the series victory and will now go for the sweep tomorrow.   The Crushers (41-45) have now won three of their last four series and are now 25-25 against Eastern Division teams this season. The loss for Schaumburg (37-49) is their fourth loss in a row and this is the farthest under the .500 mark that they have been all season.   The Crushers put the first runs on the scoreboard tonight. With one out, Eric Grabe reached on a fielding error by the Boomers’ third baseman, Kenny Towns. He would come all the way around to score on a double by Sean Hurley. Hurley then scored after Richard Seigel knocked an RBI single to left field.   Lake Erie’s two run lead was short lived as the Boomers took their only lead of the night in the bottom of the second inning.
