JOLIET, Ill. – For the second game in a row, the Traverse City Beach Bums(2-4) held on in a high-scoring affair, winning today’s matinee against the Joliet Slammers(2-4), 14-13. Within today’s victory, the Bums take the series against Joliet, two games to one. The scoring started in the first inning and didn’t stop. After Lucas Hunter got the first hit of his professional career, Steven Patterson walked, then Will Kengor slapped on RBI single to put the Bums on the board. Alexis Rivera hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Patterson making it 2-0. WIth one out on the bottom of the inning, Rock Shoulders hit a two-run homer to tie the game. In the second, the Beach Bums regained the lead for good. With one away. Kendall Patrick walked then Giancarlo Brugnoni doubled, moving Patrick to third. Tyler Peterson followed with a groundout to drive in a run, the Jeff DeBlieux hit an RBI double, and scored on Lucas Hunter’s RBI single. Elijah Trail got in on the scoring in the third with a two run homer to left, making it a 7-2 game. After Joliet scored in the bottom of the third, using an Edwin Gomez RBI double, the Beach Bums…
