O’Fallon, Mo.  –  The Lake Erie Crushers, presented by Mercy, were defeated by the River City Rascals, 6-3, as the two teams completed a game that was suspended in the fifth inning on May 14. The two teams were then rained out in the second inning of the second game. The loss for the Crushers (27-32), finalizes the third game of the season and drops Lake Erie’s home record to 16-14. The win for the Rascals (29-30) completes their first victory of the season on the schedule. River City is 20-12 when scoring first. Game 1 On May 14, the score was 2-2 as the rain started to fall hard at All Pro Freight Stadium. In the top of the third inning, Dominique Taylor singled, stole second and then scored on an RBI double by Kyle Gaedele. In the bottom of the inning, Connor Oliver would hit a home run to right field to tie the game at 1. In the fifth inning, the Rascals got a run as Taylor doubled and came around to score on an RBI triple to right by Johnny Morales.
