MINERS WIN IN WALK-OFF FASHION, SWEEP DOUBLEHEADER

The Miners swept the doubleheader against the Aigles, taking the second game to improve their record to 13-14 on the season. They did so in walk-off fashion, with 2B Justin Trapp (pictured) hitting a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning. This came after the Aigles tied the game in the seventh, on a two-run single by RF Julio Martinez. 1B Connor Crane hit the lone home run of the game in the loss, his first shot of the year. Trapp picked up two hits in the win, and also scored a run.Elsewhere, the Champions beat the Cuban National Team 9-3. The Capitales and Jackals split their doubleheader, with the Jackals winning the first game 13-3 and the Capitales winning the second 7-2. The Boulders defeated the Dominican Republic 7-3
