BACK FROM JAPAN, DELABAR GETS NEW OPPORTUNITY WITH INDIANS

Steve Delabar is one of the Can-Am League’s most distinguished players of all time because he has stepped on a major league mound in nearly 200 games and was an American League All-Star only three years ago. Now 33, the 6-foot-5 right-hander is getting another opportunity to extend his career.Defending American League champion Cleveland has signed Delabar and invited him to its major league spring training camp in Arizona. He will be reunited with longtime Can-Am first baseman-outfielder Chris Colabello, also an Indians invitee.
