The RailCats had just taken a 3-2 lead in the top of the eighth as 2B Thomas Walraven (2-for-3) singled home both 1B Alex Crosby (2-for-4) and DH Will Savage. In the bottom half, 3B Leobaldo Pina reached base after bouncing into a fielder’s choice and Bennett came to the plate in the next at-bat and turned on a 2-0 delivery to push the RedHawks out in front for good. CF Devan Ahart and 1B Correlle Prime, who homered in the fifth, each had a pair of hits.
