July 20 Evening Recap Texas 4, Wichita 3 – Box The Texas AirHogs complete the three-game sweep of Wichita as they score a pair of runs in the eighth inning to overcome a 3-2 deficit and win 4-3. Texas plated single runs in the third and fourth innings to go out to a 2-0 lead. The Wingnuts would add a run in the fifth on a CF Harrison Kain single to cut it to 2-1 before taking the lead in the seventh on a wild pitch and a Kain RBI double. The score would stay way until the bottom of the eighth when Texas took the lead for good on a double by SS Beamer Weems and a CF Trevor Sealey squeeze bunt. AirHogs reliever Scott Firth threw a scoreless eighth inning and notched his second victory of the year. Firth gave up a hit and a walk in the four batters faced.
