Yuma Panthers Ownership Change Announced

The rights to the Yuma Panthers, which did not play in the North American League this season, were sold to new owner Tim Ferguson for the upcoming American West Baseball League which intends to begin play in 2013.  Tim is in the rare class of owners as he played affiliated baseball, was a manager in the Pecos League (Ruidoso Osos, second half of the 2011 season), and a pitching coach (Washington Wild Things for the 2012 season).

Here is more about the announcement as well as a look at the likely new Panthers logo:

The team intends to play in Desert Sun Stadium (Yuma, AZ) which was the home of the former Yuma Scorpions, last of the Golden League and the North American League in 2011.
