Updates To Freedom Pro League Website
A few visitors to this site have e-mailed to ask about the Freedom Pro Baseball League. The league’s late start and other factors likely contributed to their not having their website updated with any significant information; but that has changed in recent days.
Rosters now exist on the sub-pages of each team:
Staff members for each of the teams now appear:
Schedules for each of the teams now appear on the sub-pages for each team found on the Tickets page:
Some have asked about the legitimacy of the league and if it truly is considered “independent professional” baseball. This is still to be determined, but Independentbaseball.net wants you to have as much information as possible. At the time of this post, the Freedom Pro Baseball League does not have its stats on Pointstreak nor does it have coverage on OurSportsCentral.com. Additionally, they are not mentioned by the other independent leagues on their respective websites as some of the current independent leagues already do.
This is not to say that the league does not have sufficient talent to promote to higher independent leagues or even affiliated baseball. It just needs to be willing to meet the standards by the previously-mentioned sites and possibly have more national exposure and draw consistent attendance that matches at least the lower-drawing teams in independent baseball. Should those parameters be met, along with player operations which are of decent quality, then the league will go a long way toward being recognized as a legitimate league by its peers and the pro baseball media which covers independent baseball.
