INDEPENDENT BASEBALL LEAGUE

This is tough to yet call an official professional baseball league due to the league’s not reaching out and making the minimum efforts to meet the standards of the other independent leagues.  Nonetheless their Tiffin Ohio team announced its official name as the “Saints”.  How this league will pan out this season is still TBD, but we wanted you know in case the league is able to survive its first year and prepare to grow in 2015:

  1. Hurry up and start the Dover Dodgers!!…er, Downers? The Delaware Dunes?

The Atlantic City Turf…instead of Surf if they move out by the race track.

Revive the Sussex Skyhawks! One of the best logos I’ve ever seen.
The Ocean County Osprey? They could play at Monmouth U to start.

I could go on, but…you know…the space is needed.

Any ideas for Virginia Beach yet? The Texas Tumbleweeds? traveling team, of course…they wouldn’t be able to settle down. I crack myself up!!

  2. Just remembering the switch back and forth at Sioux Falls, and hoping like heck that somebody picks up the rights to the Pheasants logo package that I thought was outstanding, and frankly better and more intimidating than the reversion back to the Canaries…tradition be darned and all that. The colors were unique, and probably makes them pricey for customized unis and other things. But I am all for color variety in any league. Be sure to post any tees and hats left over from that team…gotta get me a set. After all, I own a hat and tee for the never formed Plymouth (MA) Rivereels!
