United League To Return To Alexandria

The United League’s leadership went public with the news that it intends to return to Alexandria, Louisiana.  They address challenges with the current stadium, which has had problems with upkeep in recent years, here:

The current owners of the United League were the ones who started it in 2006.  The Alexandria Aces were part of the original group of teams.  There is no word on if the team will keep the “Aces” name, but the final team name will be posted on this website once confirmed.

  1. GREAT! I’ll have a reason to wear my old Aces cap again! Too bad they cannot repair some of the seating when the team is away. But I guess a full replacement is better than a bandaid in the long run. Just hope the fans come back. Gee, they had GREAT teams there before, and it was beyond me why they gave up on them.

“Newly formed league” is really the old ULB refreshed. Made no sense to be a part of the NAL, especially with NO postseason play. I hope the ULB does a lot better…in spite of its foolish leadership.
